I learned alot about this subject when I was in college, because magazine publication was part of my major in Communication. You need people to keep the magazine running. Good people who are dedicated. Starting a magazine is not easy because of the costs. You make no money starting out, and some just volunteer because they support the magazine. Then advertising. Have you ever picked up Harper's Bazaar and noticed that there are hardly any columns, only advertisements? Because according to research, fashionistas who will go out and pay for that read the magazine. So advertisers kill to get a one page glossy ad in that magazine, or other popular magazines to gain exposure and hope that the insane hundreds of thousands of dollars they spend on one page of advertisement will pay off and increase profit. And with more and more magazines getting online, some magazines are only online, and they make money off of advertising. It is a smart idea because you only pay for basically the montly fee of keeping the site up ( unless someone is sponsoring it), writers ( unless they are doing it non-profit), and a little bit more I just can't think of it all right now. Promotion is a huge key to keeping things running. Without promoting your magazine, how will brands ( clothing, whatever) know that your magazine even exists?

I know that I saw Figure at a news stand. I am not sure if anyone was able to respond to your post or not.

Love,

Valery... that's an EXCELLENT point that you made. I never really made a concious effort to click on ads of the websites that I visit -- I usually go out of my way to avoid them -- but now that I think about it, there really is no better way to show my appreciation and support.

Thanks for the reality check and the little "click" fire that you've ignited.

Tawny -- Brilliant Point! I have a favor -- when you click on any of the links from the website and/or magazine, the companies know -- they can track exactly how many people visited their site from VenusDivas.com or AmaZemagaze.com -- they are watching to see if you are responding...

THIS is how you can show your support for Venus and AmaZe! When you see an ad or link you like, click on the link and let the companies know -- share your opinion and voice with them :-)

You guys are the absoulute best!

Keep thriving...
