I'm glad ladies have started mention Figure. I have to agree with those that see Figure as nothing more than a shopping catalog cleverly disguised as a magazine. Sadly though, it is the only publication that features plus-sizes. All the make-overs they do are on store employees. Most of the stories have to deal with who received gastric-bypass surgery this month and who is getting it the next. Then the latest diet craze. Of course paying for the coupons that i get in the mail for free sort of throws me off as well. Anyways, glad that other ladies have noticed things.
Mind the gap please!

Hi Cil -- Congrats on the formation of a new magazine! Being in the biz yourself, I am sure that you know there were quite a few reasons why MODE and many of the other magazines closed. It certainly wasn't for lack of talent -- the creative women that breathed life into MODE were the best in the business! We are fortunate to have many of those visionaries serving on the Masthead of AmaZe + thriving new talent and voices -- We are soooo excited about bringing AmaZe to our curvy audience :-) Best of luck with the project! Oh, and tell us a bit more about your time at MODE -- what you did with them? We would love to hear :-)
