I prefer clothes that were actually designed for me, rather than something made for Nancy Nohips with 4 extra inches on each side so that i can "fit" it.

My problem with some stores is that the Plus Size selection is either small, or the selection is like something my grandmother would wear. Why can't plus size clothes be something a little more modern and cute? And not all stores I go to are like this, but some are. I like going to all stores ( I am a chick Smiler ), and I do like shopping in plus size specialty stores, because I know I will actually find my size. I think some of us just need to design a better line of cute clothes for the department stores that think all plus girls want to wear are capri pants with an elastic waist band, and a T-shirt. I would rather just go out im my Eeyore pjs. Big Grin

I am against having to internet shop if I am plus sized. I love shopping, browsing through stores, walking around..why should we be excluded from that fun...absolutely not...I am for department stores having a plus department but having all the clothes they have in the rest...just like petites are usually a copy of the other clothes, why shouldn't plus sizes be..just continue the sizes...but that means also taylor them correctly..you have to know how to increase size both in clothes and shoes...if you just lengthen a cloth or a shoe it doesn't work well, it has to be proportionally increased so that the details say proportionally at the same spot.

I agree with you fishbone....I should have the priviledge of shopping and finding what I want in the dept. stores. I think sometime it's a conspiracy that plus sizes are are not available or discontinued on store racks for what they say is not a market or demand for(yeah right). I find what I want mostly at stores catered to plus sizes.

I tend to window shop and try-on in the malls and speciality shops, then purchase online. Usually get a better deal and often more choices in colors and patterns. And I have double the trouble because I am plus-size AND tall. Next to impossible at times to find plus size and long in anything! Now if I could just find someone who makes narrow width boots with a wide calf. hen I would be in heaven.
