I think it is great that Jessica Simpson is supporting the curvy market. There honestly needs to be more Non-curvy supporters to help the curvy supporters get our message out! We can't just keep our goals to ourselves; then we are treating them the way some non curvy women treat the curvy women...like outcasts. It would be discriminating to not let non-curvy women help support our cause. This isn't supposed to be a bitter thing like curves versus chicks who eat nothing but celery. They have body issues as well, I am sure. Maybe the non-curvy girls are looking for an outlet to be happy with themselves no matter how they look. It is our opportunity to inspire not only the curvy, but the non-curvy as well.

I agree somewhat. I think the more the merrier. Whatever her reason, many regular sized designers etc... have very selfish reasons for creating but does it really matter to us in the end? Not really, the more people do it, the more acceptable it will become and the more needed we will be. So who cares what her reasoning is? I don't.

i think its pretty sweet that she is promoting plus sizes! so what if she is trying to make more money, it still is good for + modeling business and to let other woman know you don't have to be a size 2! i think its cool!

I disagree. I don't think you have to be my size to cater to the majority and demands of fashions being available and accessible for women over 12. My props go out to all those in mainstream and plus who support and embrace full figure fashions and this growing industry. I'm not forcing anyone to be full figure just as much as I'm not going to force someone to lose weight. Some things just don't work for everyone.

If she did, she wouldn't constantly be losing weight and the industry padding her to give her curves in her daisy dukes for her movie. So I find it insulting. Now if Monique or Latifah had their name on it, than that's a different story.
